Rama Engineering Colleges also offer Master of Computer Applications (MCA) through its college Rama Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET) at Mandhana Campus, Kanpur.

MCA is a AICTE approved and recognised course and has 60 Seats intake approval in RIET, Kanpur. It is affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University (formerly UPTU).

As per AICTE norms, MCA is a three-year (six semesters) professional Master's Degree Program. It covers various aspects of computational theory, programming, algorithm design and optimisation, network and database management, mobile technologies, electronics, mathematics, probability, statistics, accounting, finance, etc. 

The course is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology (computer software). It is a postgraduate course that can be taken up after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree (Mathematics as compulsory subject).

All courses of Rama Engineering Colleges are AICTE approved and Affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University (formerly UPTU). Thus the degree awarded by Rama Group is government approved Masters Of Computer Application.

Thus the duration of the Bachelors in Technology Course is 3 years. 

The 3 years duration of study is, as per AICTE norms, divided into 6 semesters with 2 semesters each forming one academic year. 

Students are awarded the degree only when they have successfully completed all the AICTE stipulated courses for their chosen disciplines 

Students applying to any of the Rama Group Colleges should beforehand ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria laid out by AICTE and Rama group for admission to that course. 

The Rama Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET) has the following criteria for application approval: 

• The students should have had Mathematics as a subject either in high school (11th and 12th standards), or in graduation.
• Students should have secured minimum of 50% marks in graduation.
• Should have secured minimum requirements of centralized Entrance examination of MCA in India at National level  AIMCET 
• Admissions are given on the basis of a written entrance test, Personal Interview and Group Discussion.

• Letters of recommendation (one from a science professor) -2
• Personal statement -1
• Passport size Photos -3

Method 2:  You can also visit the campus and directly apply by just buying the prospectus and the form for a nominal fee and once you have submitted the application form along with the required documents.

MCA : 60 students are admitted annually. 

(i) Selected candidates are required to deposit fees in person as early as possible after the announcement of selection and in any case before the notified date for the purpose,

failing which admission will lapse automatically without any further notification and the seat shall be offered to next on waiting list

(ii) The fee is accepted subject to execution of bond to serve in rural areas for a period of two years as per terms and conditions mentioned in the bond. Hence, every student

is required to execute the bond.

(iii) Selected candidates will be required to undergo medical examination by the medical officers appointed for the purpose. Candidates found medically unfit will

not be admitted.
